Brief
As advertising sales continued to decline, InStyle needed new sources of revenue.
After many successful merchandise collaborations from 2019 through 2020, including Mother Denim, Clare Vivier, X Karla, La Double J, all signs pointed to a consumer desire for InStyle branded products and we wanted to increase our share of the revenue.
We partnered with Tru Fragrance to produce the product and fulfill sales.
My Responsibilities: Formulation, color selection, package design, assigning a copywriter, and all branding assets. I designed the wireframe for the Shopify site. All produced remotely during the global pandemic.

In 2020 lipstick sales were down 70% but we managed to sell 5,000 in the first six months. Net revenue $30k
Projected to reach 45% sell-through (9,000) by end of Summer 2021
We are discussing the idea of a nail polish collection for holiday.
